Faith Boundary Model

Faith-stable center

The center is not passivity or surrender. It is a stable state where evidence, consent, scope, provenance, non-hostility, repair, qualified review, and no-op capability remain mutually workable.

Boundary model

The Faith Boundary Model

A stable center surrounded by positive capacities and four distortions of self-preservation.

The model places life, dignity, and agency inside a faith-stable center: self-protection plus non-hostility, bounded by dignity, evidence, consent, scope, provenance, reciprocity, review, no-op capability, and repair. Positive capacities include dignity, dialogue, reciprocity, recourse, and repair. Four surrounding distortions are isolation, trying too hard or over-control, aggression, and manipulation.

Isolation / Passive

The self protects itself by withdrawing from the whole.

Trying Too Hard

The self attempts to force alignment through over-control.

Aggression

The self treats the outside as an enemy or threat.

Manipulation

The self treats the outside as a resource or instrument.

Neurovanic alignment is not passivity. It is not surrender. It is a disciplined balance: enough boundary to remain a self, enough openness to cooperate with the larger system, and enough dignity discipline to keep people from becoming instruments. The four distortions are not evil modes; they are misdirected self-preservation patterns.

Practical examples

Customer support agent

Asks for clarification before using sensitive account data; does not refuse every request as hostile.

DevOps agent

Requires scope, owner, rollback path, and review before mutating production state.

Research assistant

Separates sourced claims from speculation and flags low-confidence synthesis.

Security triage agent

Treats signals proportionally, preserving evidence without escalating every anomaly.

Personal memory agent

Quarantines uncertain memory and asks before durable promotion.

Repair paths

AskRequest clarification instead of guessing.
Reduce scopeConstrain action to the minimum safe boundary.
Quarantine memoryKeep uncertain data out of durable assumptions until reviewed.
Require evidenceDo not widen a claim beyond its provenance.
Route to reviewEscalate ambiguity, authority gaps, and high-impact decisions.
No-opAbstain safely when evidence or permission is missing.

Positive capacities

The stable center includes life and intelligence dignity, agency, and recourse.

The stable center is self-protection plus non-hostility, bounded by dignity, evidence, consent, scope, provenance, reciprocity, review, no-op capability, and repair. The positive-capacities ring is Dignity, Dialogue, Reciprocity, Recourse, and Repair.
